I can't believe its August 1st already! Some of my fellow teachers are already heading back to school. I still have a few weeks but I've been busy planning (more like pinterest-ing) ideas for my classroom. One of the pins I found was this birthday display.
O.M.G! My kiddos last year loved Scentos. They went crazy for them. So I'm planning on giving them out for their birthdays this year. And I made these little tags to go with them. {Scentos Tags}
I included tags for the beginning of the year, summer and a general tag for those just because moments.
I hope you enjoy them.

I'm officially on summer break! I feel like its been the longest year. We had days added to our calendar after being hit by Sandy. Boy were the kids ready for school to be done. And if I'm honest, I was ready for this year to be over too. I'm looking forward to relaxing for a little while. Then it'll be back to reading and researching. This fall I'll be teaching first grade. I've taught Kindergarten for 6 years. SO I have quite a but of preparing to do. It's a bittersweet feeling. I'm leaving a great group of teachers who I've absolutely loved teaching but we just don't have the enrollment. So onto first grade I go. I'm looking forward to working with another set of wonderful teachers on the first grade team and excited to see the kids grow even further.
But for right now I'm going to enjoy my first days of summer and the warm weather we are having here in NJ.

I have a blog!

I've been part of the blog world for awhile now. I've stood on the blogging sideline. Quietly reading and being inspired but never sitting down and actually typing myself. I've gotten ideas, bought your projects, implemented new activities into my classroom that I found because of you. I just haven't had the nerve to start blogging myself. I kept thinking...Can I do this? Can I be as good as some of the bloggers I love? Well I sure am going to try.
I hope that I can inspire someone like so many other teacher bloggers have inspired me!
